Jon Moorhouse is a partner at Keystone Law, a top 100 UK law firm. He has been providing practical legal support to businesses of all sizes for over 20 years on a range of intellectual property (IP) and commercial issues. He has a degree in Physics & Philosophy and a Masters in the Management of IP, and started his career at the international law firm Allen & Overy. Jon has since worked in-house at a number of global corporates, including over 10 years as Senior IP Counsel at Shell, where amongst other things he was legal IP focal point for Shell Ventures, advising on technology and brand issues for spin-outs and investments in third party start-ups and scale-ups. He also acts part time as General Counsel for YASA Limited, an Oxford University spin-out producing electric vehicle motors that was acquired last year by the Mercedes Benz group, and is the co-founder of Venture Adventures, a one-stop shop providing guidance and connections to services for start-ups. He recently edited and contributed to a Special Report on IP in the Energy Sector for Globe Law & Business.
