Cyber-attacks are becoming more common and more sophisticated. It is not a case of whether you will be attacked, but when. Law firms are a target because of the information that they hold and the money that goes through their accounts.
The 6th Data Protection Principle under the UK GDPR requires organisations to take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of the personal data the hold. As our data is increasingly stored and transferred electronically we will explore what this principle means in relation to cybersecurity.
