- how do you avoid burnout?
What's being covered?
Understanding coercive control and the importance of trauma informed practices
This session will explore the dynamics of domestic abuse/coercive control and how it impacts on clients at every stage of the legal process. Guidance will be given on how to develop a trauma informed practice and recognise the risks for clients who are experiencing coercive control, the behaviours of perpetrators that demonstrate that clients are experiencing coercive control and the ways in which coercive control is perpetrated.
Helen Hughes, Helen Hughes Family Law
Recognition and enforcement of domestic and international orders in Scotland
The talk will address the possibilities and challenges/difficulties for recognition and enforcement of domestic and international orders in Scotland. It will consider the different applicable regimes in the context of the UK, the relevant Hague conventions, and under the common law. Focus will be placed on identifying circumstances that may not be familiar to practitioners.

Time-wise vs bandits, bunkum & burnout
Time is our most precious and misunderstood resource. And most time management programmes fail because they are designed by someone that's not you. In this short talk, Andy Currie will challenge the way traditional time management is taught and introduce how to create a personal approach to thinking about and using your time more wisely.
