Negotiation has, arguably, the greatest depth of all the PEAT2 components. From assessing clients’ objectives, planning and problem solving to being able to lead a negotiation strategically while adapting technique; all within the parameters of agreed client instruction.
With the emphasis on ‘practical’ this course directly addresses PEAT2 outcomes and considers relevant theory and how to apply principles in practice.
Those attending will be able to:
compare and contrast different models
examine key elements and develop personal skills for effective negotiation.
The course will also provide opportunities to conduct negotiations, receive peer feedback and reflect on individual practice.
The session will conclude with an overview of mediation by introducing its key principles and considering its role in resolving disputes.
