Morag Leck is Principal Solicitor, Licensing at City of Edinburgh Council and also Depute Clerk to the Edinburgh Licensing Board with extensive experience of licensing from a public sector perspective. Morag has been involved in a number of reported licensing cases and worked along with fellow licensing practitioners as well as council and partner organisations in relation to a wide range of licensing issues during her career. A former tutor in licensing on the Diploma in Legal Practice Course at Strathclyde University, Morag also contributes as a speaker at licensing conferences and events. She has participated in various national licensing reviews and was previously Depute Convener of the SOLAR (Society of Lawyers and Administrators in Scotland) Licensing Group. She remains an active member of SOLAR and is also a member of the Law Society Licensing Sub-Committee as well as a Council Member of the Scottish branch of the Institute of Licensing.
