Gavin Callaghan trained in private practice and joined COPFS in 2005 as a Procurator Fiscal Depute in Dundee. He joined the Health and Safety Investigation Unit in 2009 and has specialised in this area since 2009. He has prosecuted numerous criminal cases during this period, and has been involved in Fatal Accident Inquiries, including those arising from the Queensferry Crossing fatality, and Cameron House Hotel.
