Laura McCabe is a Partner and Solicitor Advocate at DWF. She has appeared in the Sheriff Courts and Tribunals of Scotland, as well as the Sheriff Appeal Court, Inner and Outer House throughout her career as a litigator. Until very recently, Laura was the lead external solicitor for the HSE specialising in notice appeals and Fatal Accident Inquiries. Laura also tutors Commercial Litigation on the Diploma at the University of Edinburgh. Laura will speak about enforcement notice appeals principally from her experience as a Respondent, acting for the HSE. She will provide an overview of what’s involved in notice appeals and discuss some examples of recent appeals she has been involved in.
