Dianne Millen is an experienced AWI practitioner, having worked in this area since qualifying as a solicitor in 2011. Having worked in a number of top-tier full-service firms, in 2025 she established her own practice, Datrys Legal, solely focusing on AWI law. Dianne is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Incapacity and Mental Disability Law. She serves as an AWI Safeguarder for Edinburgh and Glasgow Sheriff Courts. Dianne is also a Legal Convenor in the Social Security Chamber of the First-tier Tribunal of Scotland and a Legal Assessor to the General Teaching Council of Scotland Fitness to Teach panel. She is a member of the Law Society of Scotland’s Policy Subcommittee in Mental Health and Disability Law. Outside practice, she is studying for a MSc in Counselling at Abertay University and volunteers on the National Board of Relationships Scotland.
