Paola Sproul is a Senior Solicitor with Digby Brown. Paola specialises in Group Proceedings and was the principal solicitor in the James Finlay Kenya Limited Group proceedings and related litigation in the Court of Session. These claims are brought by approximately 5,000 Kenyan employees of a Scottish company who claim to have been injured by unsafe working practices. She also specialises in Product Liability and was the Principal Solicitor in the case of Hastings -v- Finsbury Orthopaedics Ltd 2022 UKSC taking the campaign for better consumer protection and regulation of medical implants to the Supreme Court. Hastings was the first case in which the UKSC ruled on the meaning of defect under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
