James Flett is Chairman of Alex Quinn & Partners. James has nigh on 40 years’ experience in all areas of Legal Cost Accounting, with recognised experience in the preparation, negotiation and Taxation of Judicial Accounts of Expenses in all forums including the UKSC. He is regularly involved in complex additional fee cases and has been involved in many of the country’s high profile cases providing advice on expenses throughout and ultimately attending to preparation of the Account of Expenses. James’ expertise has also been recognised by APIL and he has regularly assisted them in various consultation exercises. In addition, he has provided advice and sat on various Law Society Committees over the years. James recently co-authored his first book – Expenses: A Civil Practitioner’s Handbook – with Sheriff Iain Nicol.
